Biggest hurdles in the quest of Authenticity

"A true personality is like a robust organism that, with unconscious sureness, seeks out and digests the nourishment appropriate to it and vigorously rejects that which is unsuitable."
        Gustav Mahler

In a world so embroiled in position and prestige, prominence and ego, merit and cachet, stature and worth; what is lost is Purity, Legitimacy or if I tend to simplify it for you, Authenticity. We are so much caught in the rat race, that the true characteristics of a rat have been forgotten.
Yes, a rat.
A rat can fight, chase, bite, and box. It's a true representation of the strength that you possess, and the adaptability you can demonstrate. When someone is called a Rat, it means they are not afraid to get their hands dirty to do what needs to be done to accomplish the desired goals.

Do you remember who all compared your journey to that of a rat race; now you know you need to thank them?
So, what does it mean to be a "True Personality"? Let's roll.

A man/woman with custom, method, and discipline. A man with true intelligence who can do whatever he wants and is diligent to follow the rules and fight with the world for his true position.
Relatable? No

Followers are lost to their authenticity and chasers are lost to status and wealth. The methodical are fiddling the modus operandi and the disciplined are fastened to routines.

A True personality is not perfect. They are the ones not found in the crowd, but the ones subliminally driving the crowd. Discovery is not their forte, they chose to Innovate. Their innate qualities and skills outshine and they have a peculiar approach to rack up the leader board.

Hence, if you are on a quest to find the perfect person, you will end up with a monkey without a tail.

Your personality is defined by what you do and not what you say. Few traits are inscribed in our DNA and few are cultured and shaped. The biggest hurdle is thus the 'Ineptitude' to probe the impediments in excelling your own personality.

I am not going to bore you by listing down a few shortcomings and leave you to juggle. Rather, we will engage in the Troubleshoot.
So, Are you ready for the drill?

Hurdle 1: Who are you in the following?

Personality C- I don't care.

Hurdle 2: Which work situation fits you?
Personality A- I'm here to understand the culture, the job, and the people.
Personality B- I'm here for the money, nothing can move me from becoming a millionaire.
Personality C- I'm here to work and learn, not to socialize.

Hurdle 3: How you react?
Personality A- I'm pre-occupied, I can't assist you right now.
Personality B- I can't help you, but don't hate me for this.

Are we done?
Which personality type you feel best suited you? Best if you are yet to come to the conclusion.

"Authenticity cannot be reached if you are only looking outside of yourself obsessing over ways to live in all the narcissistic traps."

Hurdle 1 reflects how you treat your 'Self- worth'.
Self-worth puts you in a state of harmony with your personality. If you're worried about another person's position or constantly seeking re-assurances, you will always hide and end up self-sabotaging.
Thus, If you have chosen Personality type C, cheers! Party is a place to enjoy yourself, this isn't a place to ensure an appraisal or to obsess over meeting thousands and knowing none.

Hurdle 2 reflects how you treat your work environment.
An efficient person never obsesses about being superficially better than others or having more success or money because all of that "status" is temporary and subjective. You need to practice to be an authentic leader of anyone or anything and not an insecure competitor.
Thus, If you have chosen Personality type A, you are onboard the right flight to success.

Hurdle 3 reflects your ability to say NO.
Prioritization is a healthy practice. When you have the ability to prioritize, you need to say 'No' to certain situations and let some things go. When you live authentically, you are not in an illusion to make everyone happy and thus become relationship-oriented.
Thus, If you have chosen Personality type A, you are opening your ways to focus on possibilities.

Hurdle 4 reflects how clear your visions are.
Remember the monkey without the tail? The one who imitates is always anxious about someone stealing their temporary glory. They tend to promise more than they can ever deliver. An efficient person knows the limit and is able to convince himself to balance the outcomes. He will never leave a task incomplete but will never exhaust himself completely.
Thus, If you have chosen Personality type B, you are raising the bar for excellence and efficiency.

Hurdle 5 reflects your ability to learn with contradictions.
When a person experiences fewer threats to his emotional self, he turns out to be a good listener. And a good listener becomes a good learner. An efficient and authentic personality is always willing to consider contradictory ideas with an open mind and change their opinion if it makes sense.
A good communicator always sees the full expression of the conversation and gains the best out of it.
Thus, If you have chosen Personality type C, you are setting your tones right and instead of becoming a chatterbox, you are receptive to different opinions and ideas.

Hurdle 6 reflects your composure in managing problems.
Followers are always defensive, always insecure, and sensitive to criticism. You are the most potent of the personalities when you know your shortfalls and you accept and learn from your mistakes. You are transparent and exude a sense of inner confidence in doing so.
Thus, If you have chosen Personality type C, you are a star! You have the courage to be who you really are.

Hurdle 7 reflects how you treat yourself.
It's often said, we end up treating people the way we want them to treat us. If you are confident in your stand you don't need to satisfy someone else's looks to feel good about yourself. Neither, you need to push others below to rise high. A good leader never looks down upon the people around him and thus corroborate to work things out. He celebrates simple success and works on fallouts which adds positively to the confidence of others.
Thus, If you have chosen Personality type B, you definitely are going to be an apple of everyone's eye.

Hurdle 8 reflects your outlook towards the Future.
Challenges are your best friends because they give you the benefit of experience. The person who is guilty of his mistakes but not willing to change the approach, will fell into the same filth time and again. If you are not evolving by learning from real-world experiences, you can never find a thumb rule to solve your issues.
Thus, If you have chosen Personality type C, You know that the best teacher in life is Experience. You are ready and open to failures and anxious enough to try and approach differently to disputes and dilemmas.

Don't become a fan of Alpha, Beta, or Omega Personalities. Become the one Authentic self and you can win over any situation or conflict and excel in the most genuine way possible.
The only disability in life is 'Bad Attitude'. The inability to probe into such an attitude is even worse. So if you find anyone victim of monkey business, set them free.

Be wise to know all the pathways, aisles, and trails but hike the one chiseled by you.
Be Authentic!
