Why aren't you gone?
Do we mess up relationships a lot these days? Do we end up expecting or asking for a lot? Why do we make it so difficult to stay ardent, inspired, amorous? Why does the hunt never seem to end?
Too many questions, right?
The rebuttal commences when we are out with satiated minds and ravenous hearts to look for answers. Someone once told me, "Love them until they know it's love that makes the difference."
Love scares, but what doesn't? Ever tried hating on someone, something and sleeping in peace.
The composition below is a narrative looking at a woman falling out of love yet, seeks closure from the pain, probing ways to let go of the memories, the vows, and the chasm.
The stars you promised turned dim and cloudy
The roses in my hands pierced my dreams
My eyes are numb, and my heart is scorned
When you are so distant,
Why aren't you gone?
Amble in my walk, ramble in my gaze
I held you close, meandering the maze
I drowned with the ploy, dazed and drawn
When you are so distant,
Why aren't you gone?
The fate, the plan, what's in the books
The more I comprehend, dire it looks
My yearning was a reverie, jilted at the dawn
When you are so distant,
Why aren't you gone?
Were you not aware of the right and the wrong?
That the castle will fall, the more we prolong
Yet you kept going, soured and forlorn
When you are so distant,
Why aren't you gone?
The days always seek the tone of your skin
The nights are frail when I look within;
The onus on my soul, Never lets me mourn
When you are so distant,
Why aren't you gone?
I muffled the songs, laid bare the farce
With each passing light, your love grew sparse
I wonder what I grieved? When a delusion was torn
When you are so distant,
Why aren't you gone?
The agony of my heart disguised in bliss
Held me unscathed, from the edge of the abyss
One day I will falter in an attempt to hold on
When you are so distant,
Why aren't you gone?
Are you up there, looking at me?
Can you espy what nobody sees?
Can you clinch to the snare I adorn?
But, you are so distant,
Why aren't you gone?
The moon is my keeper, witness to the ail.
The wind chimes often sing me the tale,
Of boundless amour and fidelity, you had sworn.
When you are so distant,
Why aren't you gone?
Baffled by the anima, I seek no flee.
A trial impelled, between the blossom and the thorn
When you are so distant,
Why aren't you gone?
I gave up on the ardor, I set you free
You pledged me the honor I promised the glee.
Yet with the setting sun, an arcane is known
When you are so distant,
Why aren't you gone?
